Cape Yamu Villas for Your Holiday

Cape Yamu is Phuket’s quieter, more refined side. It sits on the island’s east coast, facing the calm waters and limestone silhouettes of Phang Nga Bay. Instead of beach traffic and party noise, you’ll find peaceful roads, sea breezes, and a “private peninsula” feel that’s ideal for families and groups who actually want to hear each other talk.

Staying in a Cape Yamu villa usually means generous indoor-outdoor living, big pools, open-plan lounges, and terraces designed for long lunches. Many homes here lean into the view, so you’ll get that postcard panorama from the pool, the daybed, and sometimes even your shower. It’s a great pick if your holiday wishlist includes calm mornings, quality time, and a villa that feels like a destination in itself.

Best Things to Do Near Cape Yamu

Do a Phang Nga Bay boat day (without the long commute). Cape Yamu’s location makes boat trips surprisingly easy. You’re close to marinas and piers on Phuket’s northeast, which means less time in the car and more time on the water. Ask our Concierge to arrange a private longtail or speedboat for a day of island-hopping, limestone cliffs, and lagoon stops. If your group likes an active day, add sea kayaking through mangroves or caves.

Take an Old Phuket Town evening. When you’re ready for a change of scenery, head to Old Phuket Town for colourful streets, cafés, and some of the island’s best local restaurants. It’s ideal for families too: early dinner, a wander for dessert, then back to your quiet villa before anyone hits the wall. If you’re into culture and photo-worthy architecture, this is Phuket at its most charming.

Make your villa the main event. Cape Yamu is perfect for leaning into villa life. Plan one “stay-in” day where the pool is the agenda. We can organise a private chef for a Thai dinner at home, a barbecue night on the terrace, or a massage therapist for the adults while the kids burn off energy in the water. It’s the kind of day that feels small in the moment, then becomes the trip highlight later.

Why Should Families Stay in Cape Yamu?

Cape Yamu works brilliantly for families because it’s peaceful, spacious, and naturally slower-paced. There’s less hustle outside, which makes it easier to keep kids on a steady routine, and easier for adults to actually unwind. It’s also a top choice for multi-generation trips, where grandparents appreciate the quiet and everyone else appreciates having room to spread out.

Instead of splitting into hotel rooms, a Cape Yamu family villa gives you a whole home setup: multiple bedrooms, open living areas, and a private pool that becomes your daily meeting point. Kids can nap in a proper room, teens can disappear into their own space, and adults can enjoy coffee on the terrace without a lobby soundtrack.

Need the practical stuff? We can help organise cots, high chairs, and pool fences, plus babysitting, drivers, and family-friendly meal setups. If you want low-effort days, we can also arrange groceries to be waiting at the villa, so your first night feels like arriving at a home, not starting a checklist.

At the end of the day, your villa becomes the calm retreat. Dinner on the terrace, a last splash in the pool, and no need to keep voices down in a hallway. Just space, comfort, and a slower rhythm that works beautifully for families.

Why I love Cape Yamu

Cape Yamu is one of those rare spots in Phuket that feels both luxurious and deeply peaceful. Tucked away on the island’s east coast, it’s a quiet peninsula with stunning views over Phang Nga Bay and a much slower pace than the west side. I love how private everything feels here — most of the villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and perched on hills or by the water, so you wake up to panoramic sea views and total calm. It’s a great place to stay if you want to unwind without sacrificing comfort, and it’s especially well-suited for families or couples looking for a more exclusive, tucked-away experience. While the beach itself is more scenic than swimmable, you’re close to private boat charters, wellness retreats, and some lovely local seafood spots. Cape Yamu is where I’d go to completely reset, surrounded by nature and just the right amount of quiet.
