Natai makes a great base for discovering a fascinating array of cultural sites, forest parks and viewpoints. Visiting Ao Phang-nga National Park, one of the country’s most popular boat trip destination provides opportunities for viewing a sea gypsy village built entirely on stilts, lush mangrove forests and mysterious cave systems.
Make your way up Samet Nangshe Viewpoint to take in uninterrupted vistas over Phang Nga Bay. It’s particularly popular with photography enthusiasts, with some staying through the night to capture the breathtaking sunrise scenery. Wat Suwan Kuha, containing a large reclining Buddha statue also offers great picture-taking opportunities.
Nature lovers will enjoy long hikes through the picturesque grounds of the Raman Waterfall Forest Park or Sa Nang Manora Forest Park. Pack along your swimsuit if you’re visiting the latter; there are several multi-tiered waterfalls with plunge pools where you can take a dip in during your hike.
