There’s plenty else to see and do away from the beach. Wat Tham Ta Pan temple, also known as Heaven and Hell cave is 40 minutes’ drive away. Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Public Park (40 minutes’ drive away) boasts well-kept grounds that make a pleasant stroll, Khao Lak Lam-ru National Park (47 minutes’ drive away) encompasses cascading waterfalls, quiet stretches of beach and dense forests and Phung Chang Cave features incredible rock formations, large stalagmites and stalactites and walls coloured in hues of red and gold.
