Getting Wild ‘N Wet in Phuket’s Theme Parks!

Let’s get wild (and wet) in Phuket’s most popular theme parks!

Phuket Fantasea

When in Kamala, Phuket Fantasea, which is described as “a cultural Phuket theme parks”, is worth a visit. Although this is quite a popular tourist attraction (so will most likely be busy), it is definitely worth visiting once. Even if it is just to admire the setting and atmosphere that has been created here.

Phuket Fantasea is split into three sections, which has a different activity in each of its sections. There is shopping in the Festival Village, and Dining in the Golden Kinnaree Buffet Restaurant. Also, a Vegas-style show in the Palace of Elephants.

The main highlight of Phuket Fantasea is definitely the elephant show. This involves a lot of well-trained animals, cultural dances, colourful costumes and a magic show. If you are sensitive to wild animals in captivity, this show is perhaps not recommended. Please note that cameras and phones are not permitted at this show. Must be deposited in a locker prior to entry if you choose to bring them.

There are a lot of travel agencies that will sell tickets to Phuket Fantasea and transport to and from can usually be arranged in advance, or even included in your ticket. Be careful if you are sold a ticket on the street from a vendor or freelance salesman. Be sure to check that you are actually going to get what you are paying for, especially in terms of seating for the show.

Splash Jungle

About a 40 minute drive away from Phuket Town and about a 15 minute drive from the airport, Splash Jungle is sure to be a big hit with the kids as it is the biggest water park in Thailand.

It has a wave pool, a play pool with tipping buckets and water cannons. Of course there are also water slides, which are typical of a water park.

However, there are a wide variety of slides with there being 12 in total. With more tame rides such as the lazy river and aqua play pool available. And more complicated rides, such as the ‘Boomerango’ and the ‘Super Bowl’, are sure to make it a day that will be enjoyed by a family of all ages.

While the kids enjoy these fun and exciting rides, parents can take some relaxation time, knowing their kids are also having fun. The park also features a spa and a bar.

Whilst it is 1500 Baht for an adult and 750 Baht for children, children who are under 5 years old get to go to this wonderful day of fun for free! The price of this Phuket theme parks ticket also includes transport straight from your villa.
