Mountain House Villa has all the must-haves of a great tropical vacation rental: infinity pool, views out to the Andaman Sea and proximity to the beach. Featuring four bedrooms and capacious living areas spread over two floors, the villa is ideal for accommodating large travelling parties.
Guests will enjoy generously proportioned bedrooms with air conditioning, double beds, quality bedding and ample wardrobe space. All private en suites feature colourful tiles, a vanity, toilet and shower recess. Additional amenities are included in the upper floor master suite and a private en suite on the ground floor; the former is fitted with a soaking tub while the latter is equipped with a washing machine and drying rack.
While both levels of Mountain House Villa boasts a spacious terrace, it’s only the ground floor terrace that opens out to the glistening infinity pool. Looking out to the western coasts of the island, you’re primed for a magnificent sunset show. The beautifully crafted wooden sala is ideal for poolside relaxation, shaded siestas and al fresco dining.
Featuring two separate living spaces, Mountain House Villa is ideally set up for two couples or travelling parties who prefer having private spaces of their own while staying together.
Each floor features an indoor dining area that looks out to the terrace, a lounge kitted out with sofas and a flat screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen complete with fridge, oven, stove top, espresso machine, kettle, toaster and blender. The living spaces will appeal to villa vacationers with a taste for contemporary interiors featuring bright bursts of colour.
A weekly housekeeping service is included with your stay. An additional charge is imposed for daily breakfasts, electricity and check out cleaning service.
You’re 10 minutes’ drive from Long Beach. The most popular of the island’s beaches, it boasts soft, golden shores that stretches out over five kilometres and is fringed by pine trees. Despite its popularity, Long Beach doesn’t feel crowded and offers a wide frontage for sunbathing and beach strolls.
Dining and nightlife options abound on the coast. Venues that come with our recommendations include Tides Restaurant (for fine dining), The Living Room Cafe and Restaurant (great for breakfast and coffee) and The Indian Tandoori (for days when you need a break from Thai food). The Irish Embassy and Galaxy Restaurant and Bar offer a relaxed ambience for sundowners, while Ozone Bar and Pangea Beach Bar draw an energetic crowd in with its weekly parties.
Apart from sunbathing and swimming, beach-goers also have the option of diving and Kon-Tiki diving. The latter, organised by Kon-Tiki Lanta is a diving experience on board a cruiser, with a buffet lunch and sunbathing upon the cruise deck. There’s plenty to do away from the beach too - try out Muay Thai, yoga or Thai cooking classes, or hop off to a snorkeling or island tour.
